The U8s did themselves proud at the Kings Hill tournament, losing out 1-0 in the final in a really close game.

In their first competitive outing, the girls beat Anchorian Angels 5-0, Larkfield ladies 3-0 and then drew with eventual winners Kings Hill 1-1 in winning the group.. they then defeated Rising stars 3-1 to make the final.

Wembley day out -

This Saturday some of the girls (and a brother!) went to Wembley to watch the Women's FA Cup Final between Manchester City Ladies and Birmingham Ladies. It was a great day with Man city winning 4-1. Maybe one day some of our girls will get to grace the Wembley turf too one day!?

Lewisham Tigers friendly.

This Saturday Chipstead Girls hosted their first friendly match against Lewisham Tigers and recorded another win 6-1, although the match was much closer than the scoreline would suggest.

It was Lewisham who started brighter and took the lead, but Chipstead found their passing and were soon level and then in front. Stars of the show were Katie who scored 4 of Chipstead's goals, but the defensive play of Zara, Connie, Rosie and Jessica kept Lewisham at bay. Laura scored one, and another goal was a deflected own goal. The others players, Honee, Alicia and Laura all worked hard helping the team to their win.

Thanks to Lewisham for traveling over and we have to say, with more luck could have scored many more goals.

Thanks also to Saskia who did a great job refereeing the match.

After the game all girls were presented with a trophy in recognition of the efforts and improvements the coaches had seen over the past months. Everyone should be really proud of themselves !

Kings Hill friendly.

On Saturday morning Chipstead took 16 girls over to Kings Hill for their first friendly match.  Divided into two squads the younger group defeated KH U8s 4-1 while the older group beat KH U9s 13-0. It was great to go to a different club and see how the girls fared. (photos here)

Everyone enjoyed the day and the girls should be really proud of their performances.  We're all looking forward to more friendly games.

Our thanks to Kings Hill FC for hosting us.
