NI boss O'Neill set for talks over Scotland job
Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill is granted permission to speak to the Scottish FA about becoming Scotland manager.
Following a management committee decision two months ago to drop their 2nd and 3rd teams in order to focus on their 1st team, Chipstead have done an about turn and resurrected their 2nd team.
The decision was in response to the excellent turn out of players at both training and in friendly matches. By going down to just the one team, the club would not have been able to retain all those players who had turned up without fail to training and for friendly matches. We felt we owed it to these lads, many of whom have just stepped up from youth football, with the potential to eventually go on to feature for the 1sts on a regular basis.
The re-formed 2nds will be placed in Division One of the Sevenoaks & District Football League and will play their home games at the club's main ground in Chipstead.
The club is now looking to find a Manager for the team. The successful applicant will be involved in working alongside the 1st team manager & club coaches in helping develop a strong Reserve side. He will also be involved with the club's youth development officers in helping young players from the junior club make the successful transition into adult football.
Anyone interested in this exciting and key position within the club is asked to contact either 1st team manager Percy Dalton on 07568 587069 (email: firstname.lastname@example.org ) or chairman Alan Black on 07753 603944 (email: email@example.com )
