Players and Reserve Team Manager Wanted for Senior Club - 14-06-2009

Chipstead FC is seeking players for their Kent County League teams. Having just managed to retain their place in Division 1 West, the First Team is determined not to have a repeat of their inconsistent form of last year by strengthening their squad for the coming season. Although players are sought for all positions, a solid, experienced centre back and quality front players are priorities.

A Manager is also required for the Reserve team, which recently picked up the KCFL Fair Play award for season 2008/9. The club is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual, preferably with a coaching qualification, who can work alongside the First Team Manager in improving the County League squad and developing the young players coming through the club’s youth system.

Chipstead FC is a Charter Standard Club based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks, with its own well maintained pitch and excellent clubhouse. The club runs approximately 16 teams from under 8's to adults and places a strong emphasis on youth development. The junior section of the club, launched 5 years ago, now boasts a membership of approximately 250 youngsters aged 5 – 17. The club is committed to providing a "ladder of football opportunity" enabling youngsters to play through their various age groups. The aim is to coach youngsters to a level enabling them to graduate through the youth structure and eventually play for one of the club’s 4 senior teams.

Anyone interested in the position of Reserve Team Manager or in playing for the club is asked to contact Club Chairman, Alan Black, in the first instance, on either 01732 452603 or 07753 603944, or email alan_black48@hotmail.com.

Training is on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-45pm at the club’s ground (Chipstead Recreation Ground, Chevening Road, Chipstead, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 2SA),  commencing 30th June.
