Holland Tour Enjoyed by All - 02-06-2009Chipstead & Sevenoaks Juniors visited MSV Flakkee over Whitsun weekend. The trip was quite memorable with everyone having a great time and being superbly looked after. Our many thanks to our close friends from Holland and to all those parents who helped host our boys and made them feel very welcome during their stay. I have today received the following very nice email from Tim van Diest: Dear players, team managers, parents and all others who were participating at the "Holland Tour 2009", When we visited Alan Black (Chipstead) and Paul Lansdale (Sevenoaks) for the first time in January 2008 to see if we ( MSV Flakkee) could build a relationship with both of your junior clubs, we never imagined that this would be the start of such a strong friendship between our three clubs. Easter 2008 was a huge succes and our boys had a very good time at your place, something we will never forget, despite the terrible weather. When Ruud and I visited you for a weekend in January 2009, plans had already been drawn up for a trip to Holland, which took place last weekend, Whitsun 2009. Both clubs, Chipstead and Sevenoaks, made a wonderful impression in the way they played football, but much more important, in the way the boys behaved themselves! It was in a word tremendous! Every team involved in the tournament has been talking about the way your teams conducted themselves. Also the host parents were very pleased with "their kids" and the parents I've already spoken to are having the same problem as I have: We're gonna miss them! We have enjoyed every minute of your stay at our place! All the boys and parents from our side hope that they will keep in contact with the boys, so we can meet up as friends again next year. Of course we hope that we can continue the friendship between our three clubs and hope to see you soon.
