U11's visit Portugal

Chipstead entered 2 U11 teams (Eagles & Kestrels) in the Europa Cup, Lisbon this weekend, which was being played in Benfica’s Estadio Da Luz.

12 teams took part at the u11 age from all over the UK, Portugal and even 1 team from India. 3 groups of 4 then qualified for the Cup, Plate or Shield depending on where they finished in the group.

The Kestrels won their qualifying group, and our semi final, only to lose 4-0 in the final of the Cup against a local Portuguese Academy Side (SC Linda a Velha).

The Eagles finished second in their group, to qualify for the Plate, where they lost in their semi final, but then beat Salisbury United on penalties for the 3rd/4th play off (after being 3-0 down).

A great performance from both teams, in an extremely competitive pool of clubs.

U7s relish their 1st team experience day!

Recently an U7s team visited the FA Community Day. This was invite only so we were very lucky to be asked to attend. We played three matches but the whole day was more about showcasing football in the community. They had walking football, ladies football, disability football, veterans football plus a charity match later on. A great day thoroughly enjoyed by all the players!

The day was really well organised by Kent FA, with loads for the kids to do after the matches, inflatable football darts, football pool, shooting speed test, bubble football, ice cream van, hot food stand….very, very good. Plus nice weather.

DMB Law Solicitors are looking for an administrative assistant and an office junior. The vacancies are on their web site – www.dmblaw.co.uk ABOUT DMB LAW – CAREERS

Both positions are permanent but they could offer the admin assistant position on a GAP YEAR basis if necessary. No experience needed as full training would be given.

DMB are based at the Bat & Ball lights and I am assured they are a very nice company to work for!

Thank you to everyone who helped to organise and attended the Chipstead Chairty Tournament for Hospice in the Weald. With all your support we managed to raise £1500 for this fantastic cause.

Congratulations to Chipstead's Young Sharp Shooters.

Congratulations were the order of the day when Chipstead's Ben Williams (top) and Ben Fountain-Barber (bottom) picked up their top scorer awards for the junior (U8-U10) and youth (U11-U18) sections respectively. The awards were presented at the week-end by Chipstead's first team captain and assistant manager Chris Steadman. Well done to both boys on their goal scoring exploits.

Tournament success !

The U14's took 2 teams to the Farleigh Rovers tournament on 25th June.

Both teams faced some tough opposition and went unbeaten throughout the group stages so both teams topped their groups, with one of the teams beating the Tandridge A division champions.

Both teams won their Semi finals against 2 tough Homesdale FC sides and went on to meet each other in the final.

With so many new players being introduced to the squad for next season it was a fantastic achievement from everyone involved and being told we were the nicest group of players who played some of the best football wasn't bad either!

Well done boys

Another great performance from the U12 Eagles today (18/6/17) coming runners-up at Snodland. Even more pleasing as this was our first outing at 11 a side and again beat a number of notable scalps - Ebbsfleet Town, Kings Hill & Cray Valley in the process. Had to go through to the final on penalties but that's tournaments for you!

Congratulations to the squad and Managers Neil & Ian.

Ditton FC Tournament U12s

Our U12s were the class act in winning the U12s section of the Ditton tournament. Along the way beating Maidstone Utd U12s and Ditton Minors.

This follows up an excellent season finishing a strong 2nd in div C, beating two div B clubs in the cup and only narrowly losing to the 3rd place team in the A league in the quarter finals.

What a fantastic way to conclude a season.. well done all!

Kings Hill tournament - Girls U8s.

The U8s did themselves proud at the Kings Hill tournament, losing out 1-0 in the final in a really close game.

In their first competitive outing, the girls beat Anchorian Angels 5-0, Larkfield ladies 3-0 and then drew with eventual winners Kings Hill 1-1 in winning the group.. they then defeated Rising stars 3-1 to make the final.

Chipstead U18s win league cup final

Chipstead FC U18s defeated TW Foresters 3-0 in the U18s league cup final at Hailsham Town's Stadium on Sunday 9 April. With a crowd in excess of 250 spectators they witnessed a dominant display by Chipstead, who went ahead after 25 minutes, following a quick break from the back, that was put away superbly by Loius Bottcher.

The second half continued with Chipstead dominating possession and playing some excellent football which culminated in a couple of quick well taken goals from Hamish Thomas and again from Louis Bottcher to put Chipstead 3-0 up and into a lead and one in which Foresters were unable to recover.

The man of the match award was given to Josh Penollar for his consistent and all round display.

Chipstead FC is pleased to announce that chairman Alan Black received the FA/McDonalds Outstanding Contribution to Community Football Award at a special award event held on Thursday 6th October at Maidstone United FC.

The award was presented by former Dover and Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler.

Congratulations to Alan for this well-deserved recognition.

AB said -

'Not only is this award a great honour for me personally, but also a tribute to all those involved at Chipstead, making us one of the most respected clubs in the county. I would like to thank those who kindly supported my nomination for this award.'

Both Chipstead U11 teams had excellent first seasons playing the 9v9 format in the Crowborough League. The end of the regular season saw both sides lift their league Spring trophy's with 100% win records. We were able to carry this excellent form into the 5 summer tournaments we played. In most we were able to field two or more teams and also enjoyed the challenge of playing a year group up at the Crowborough Fiesta.

During the summer we achieved 4 trophies with wins at the Paddock Wood and Vinters tournaments and runners up at Ditton and Paddock Wood.

We have also strengthened the squad in key areas and also to help our U13's next season by loaning players on a rotation basis. The coaches are now looking forward to a well deserved break ahead of the pre season friendly tournaments and matches planned for mid August and early September.

We would like to thank the players, parents and our sponsors - First Title, London Lift Services and RBS for their enthusiasm, help and support and look forward to the new challenges of the Tandridge league.

Best wishes

Neil, Ian, Kris, Jason and Toby

U11s celebrate: The two Chipstead U11 teams had reason to celebrate after clinching their respective Crowborough & District Junior Football league Spring trophy leagues titles. Both teams have had excellent first seasons playing the 9 v 9 format. After the final round of matches the coaches held the end of season awards at Chipstead Recreation Ground followed by lunch at the Bricklayers Arms. The coaches would like to thank all the players and parents and are looking forward to summer training and tournaments. Click here  to see the successful teams.

Chipstead FC is already thinking about strengthening their 1st and 2nd team squads ahead of next season.

The 1st team has gone from strength to strength since the turn of the year with a number of exceptional young players breaking into the squad. In addition, the squad has been boosted by the recruitment of several experienced heads who have come in from playing at a higher level. With a good blend of youth and experience in place, the club is hoping to build on this in pushing on next year.

Having spent the entire 2015-16 season away from Chipstead due to the installation of a new drainage system, both 1sts and 2nds will be returning to their home ground with its excellent pitch and facilities by the start of the new season.

Pre-season training will take place twice a week at Chipstead from early July, transferring to the 3G facility at Biggin Hill (Darwin Leisure Centre) under lights from September.

Chipstead FC is pleased to announce DMB Law as its first ever Official Club Sponsor.

Our partnership with DMB Law extends over a 3 year period, with the provision of First Team playing, training & coaches’ kit and kit for all those involved in coaching our Junior U6-U10 age groups.

DMB Law is a local firm of solicitors based at Bat & Ball, who provide a wide range of legal services to businesses, individuals and families. Most of their work comes directly as a result of referrals by clients so retaining their confidence and loyalty is critical to them.

To find out more about what legal services DMB Law can provide please click here.

Club Chairman Alan Black commented ‘We are absolutely delighted to be working with DMB Law. Finding a sponsor for senior club football has been extremely difficult over the years, so you can imagine our delight when Grace Kanawaty of DMB Law approached us to ask about the possibility of them becoming our official Club Sponsor. After a couple of meetings Neil Woodrow-Clark and I had with David Buckle (Senior Partner) and Grace, we knew instantly that we would have no problem working with DMB Law in developing a fruitful partnership. There are many avid football fans at DMB Law so we’ll be looking forward to seeing them at some of this year’s matches and hopefully at some of our forthcoming social events, where you will have the opportunity to meet them.’

Chipstead Football Club is a non-profit making organisation, which relies upon donations and sponsorship from companies and individuals to keep going. Membership fees alone cannot achieve this, as they would have to be set at a level which would be unaffordable to many of our players.

To help raise funds for the Club, we will be launching a 100 Club on 1st October 2014. As well as raising funds for the Club, it gives all members the opportunity to win cash prizes.

The 100 Club is a simple idea whereby you pay the Club £5 a month and you will be allocated a number which goes into a draw. ( The option also exists to pay for more than one entry ). As the name suggests, membership is limited to 100. At that point, we start a waiting list so that as people drop out, you will have the opportunity to activate your membership application.

There are four prizes a month and we will pay out a minimum of 40% of the money collected. When we achieve our target of 100 members, one lucky individual will win £100, the same amount being distributed among the other three winners.

By making a success of the 100 Club we hope to transform the finances of the Club. All current senior club players and officers are required to join. We would be very grateful if former players, family, friends and supporters could also help to support Chipstead FC through its 100 Club.

Click here for further details and how to enter.

All teams are reminded that ALL regular volunteers must complete a CRB form. It must be reiterated that these checks are for those who have an active role in coaching, officiating on match days and at training. If you have any volunteers who have not yet completed a CRB form, please contact Chipstead's Club Welfare Officer.
